Kirtana (Spiritual Music) is the central activity of Bhakti Yoga (The yoga of love). In astrology, “yoga” refers to links between planets. In spirituality, “yoga” refers to a link between the individual and the divine. The sounds in this video form that link through the powerfully emotional medium of devotional music.
This is a song composed a few centuries ago in Bengali by the great saint, poet and musician, Narottama Dasa Thakur. Interspersed with the Bengali is the Sanskrit Hare Krsna maha-mantra. The Ter Kadamba Mandir (of which I am a member) performed the kirtana. Yunime Studios created the video.
